The C1-690TX is a first-class 6"x9" speaker set from JL Audio. Known as a top seller among 6x9" speakers, this model impresses with its excellent sound quality in its segment. • At the heart of the C1-690tx is a proprietary 6" x 9" (150 x 230mm) stamped oval steel frame and a DMA optimized motor system. A mineral filled injection molded polypropylene cone is fitted with a rubber surround at the front and a carefully engineered flat conex® -Spider suspended from the top of the voice coil to precisely control movement and prevent shocks between the voice coil and the back plate.

• Equipped with two true edge-controlled aluminum dome tweeters, the C1-690tx stands out from other speakers in its category with its superior clarity and separation in the high frequency range.
• The design of each tweeter inherently provides excellent off-axis reproduction and an extension of the high frequency response. Both tweeters also benefit from the damping of the silk surround suspension and ferrofluid in the voice coil gaps, as well as the superior strength of the neodymium magnets. A true mixed order crossover filter network is employed to further increase smoothness and improve power handling.
