JL Audio C1-400X

The C1-400X is a 4'' (10cm) coaxial speaker system powered by renowned manufacturer JL Audio. It is known for its high-level audio performance and real substance. The C1-400X features a 4-inch woofer-midrange driver and a 0.75-inch aluminum dome tweeter and is designed to be easily installed behind factory grilles. With cut-off mounting tabs on the woofer frame, it offers the flexibility for four-hole or two-hole mounting configurations. Special features such as the DMA-optimized motor system and the mineral-filled, injection-molded polypropylene cone make this speaker system a highlight.

• At the heart of the C1-400x is a proprietary 4-inch (100 mm) stamped steel frame and DMA optimized motor system. A mineral-filled, injection-molded polypropylene cone is suspended with a rubber surround at the front and a carefully engineered spider at the top of the voice coil to precisely control movement and prevent impact between the voice coil and the back plate.
• These are the same features and materials that are normally found in much more expensive speakers.
  
• Equipped with a true edge-controlled aluminum dome tweeter, the C1 speakers further differentiate themselves from other speakers in their category with their superior clarity and definition in the high frequency range.
• The tweeter design inherently has excellent off-axis response and high frequency extension. It also benefits from the damping of a silk surround suspension and ferrofluid in the voice coil gap, as well as the superior strength of a neodymium magnetic circuit. A true 2nd order high pass filter is used to further increase smoothness and improve power handling.
