All-in-one solution

Optimize your factory or retrofit car radio and sound system with the Alpine OPTIM8. The integrated 8-channel amplifier with Hi-Res audio playback up to 96 kHz/24-bit turns the OPTIM8 into an all-in-one sound solution. The power boost and effortless tuning of your system can be completed in just minutes.

Flexible use

The OPTIM8 offers you the flexibility to continue using your factory car radio and sound system or to integrate an aftermarket radio and sound system. The built-in amplifier provides 6x 35 W @ 4Ω + 2x 130 W @ 4 Ω or 6x 70 W @ 2 Ω +2x 260 W @ 2 Ω and can therefore power a complete sound system. Digital inputs include COAX and USB (DAC), while a high-level speaker input of up to 26 V allows connecting the OPTIM8 to an original radio speaker output.

Automatic sound adjustment

Tune your entire sound system in under five minutes with the innovative auto-tuning features of the Alpine OPTIM8. The Alpine OPTIM8 eliminates the complexity of tuning a sound system. In a simple, self-guided process via the OPTIM iPhone app (iPhone/iPad) or the PC software with the external microphone kit KTX-CSP1 (sold separately), quick and precise measurements of the vehicle interior can be taken. Alpine's auto-EQ, which is based on Eilex PRISM™ and VIR filters, simplifies the sound-tuning process. It guides the user with simple on-screen instructions so they can easily take a precise measurement of the vehicle system. After the measurement, the graphical tuning interface of the PC software or the OPTIM iPhone app delivers results in real time, allowing the user to quickly and intuitively optimize their system's sound. During the measurement process, the user moves the optional tuning microphone KTX-CSP1 (or the iPhone) through the vehicle interior, capturing hundreds of random measurement points. The auto-EQ process is intelligent enough to ignore implausible data. The result is a consistent and highly objective acoustic analysis of the vehicle system.

Eilex PRISM™ Technology

The integrated Eilex PRISM™ technology measures the frequency response using the unique Acoustic Power Volume Density (APVD) measurement. The extremely powerful VIR-DSP filters (Variable Impulse Response) simultaneously correct errors in the frequency, time and phase alignment of the loudspeaker system. This technology ensures that sound reproduction is as close to the original as possible and delivers remarkable playback quality. Key advantages of Eilex PRISM™ include reliable measurement results - independent of operator or environment. The newly developed VIR filters outperform conventional DSP filters in every respect.

Hi-Res Audio Certified

The Alpine OPTIM8 amplifier is Hi-Res Audio certified and can reproduce frequencies from 10 Hz to 45 kHz. This bandwidth gives your music a whole new dimension of clarity and nuance. It enables a level of detail that comes very close to an original studio recording.

Personalized listening experience

Fine-tune your system in real time, that is, directly while listening to music, with the tuning tools. By adjusting the crossovers and time-alignment corrections, you create a listening experience tailored to your ideal listening position or your preferred music genre. Use one of the six preset sound settings or save your preferred sound settings yourself. With the OPTIM8 controller (included), all settings can be accessed directly.

Audiophile measurement microphones Tuning Microphone

The KTX-CSP1 measurement microphone, available as an optional accessory, is the perfect tuning tool for the Alpine OPTIM8 DSP amplifier. It connects directly to the PXE-C80-88 and supplies the PC-based tuning software with a high-quality audio signal that the OPTIM8 processor needs for automatically precise and faithful sound adjustments. The 3-meter-long connection cable provides a balanced signal and a stable power supply for the microphone. This allows the microphone to be positioned at various locations in the vehicle for tuning your OPTIM8 system.

Universal wiring harness and Quadlook adapter

The KWE-PXE8-UNI, available optionally, is a universal wiring harness with Quadlock connectors that supports the installation of the Alpine OPTIM8, e.g. in vehicles from the Volkswagen Group, BMW and Mercedes Benz with Quadlock radio connections. To simplify installation, an optional Quadlock-to-standard ISO adapter (KWE-FR1AU) is also available.
