The Class-D amplifier circuit, in combination with the massive aluminum heat sink, delivers enormous performance: The 2-ohm stable EA-M4x already provides an impressive 4 x 230 watts RMS at 4 ohms, and a powerful 2 x 670 watts RMS in bridged mode.
Design
The amplifier design highlights the special character of this exceptional amp: The carefully finished edges, the engraved logo and model designation on the top plate, together with the sandblasted surface, create a striking appearance. The terminals are also solid – encapsulated 35 mm power terminals and screwed RCA sockets.
Features
In terms of features, this amplifier offers an extensive crossover, which can be routed as either a high-pass or low-pass filter. The crossover range can be set within a very wide range from 20 Hz (high-pass) and 50 Hz (low-pass) up to 5000 Hz, making it suitable for active system concepts as well. The filters can be selected individually and also combined: high-pass, low-pass, and band-pass (HPF+LPF).
