The Hifonics Zeus ZXO-2 is distinguished by its flexibility, supporting both 2-way and 3-way systems. It features a switchable crossover with a 12 dB high-pass/low-pass, ensuring a crossover frequency of 3300 Hz. With impedances of 4 Ω, an RMS power of 125 W, and a maximum load capacity of 250 W, it addresses high-power requirements. Thanks to the high-frequency level switch with +3dB, 0dB, and -3dB, the sound can be further fine-tuned. Another key factor is its high linearity in the frequency response, which operates with minimal corrections, resulting in excellent sound quality.

The Zeus ZXO-2 is designed to operate with the Hifonics ZX6.2W woofer and the ZX6.2T tweeter. The woofer features an aluminum die-cast basket, a sandwich membrane made of fiberglass composite material, and is powered by a robust magnetic drive with a 30.5 mm voice coil. The tweeter offers a fabric neodymium structure with a 700 Hz resonance frequency and covers up to over 24 kHz. With the optional integration of the 7.5 cm midrange speaker ZXM3, equipped with an aluminum membrane and neodymium drive, the crossover can easily be expanded to a 3-way system.

Installing the Hifonics Zeus ZXO-2 requires a strategic placement approach to optimally integrate the sound. The high/low-pass crossover point of 3300 Hz allows for a seamless transition between speakers, ideally occurring at a central position within the door or dashboard. When installing, it is important to ensure that the specific dimensions of the speaker components (e.g., the 6.5 inch woofer) fit into the designated mounting locations of the vehicle. The jumpers must be correctly configured when implementing a 3-way setup to ensure that the midrange speaker is properly integrated into the signal flow.

The powerful magnetic drive of the Hifonics Zeus ZXO-2, which operates a voice coil with an impressive diameter of 30.5 mm, offers significant advantages, particularly in terms of volume and bass dynamics. The weight of the drive is 14 ounces and allows for a mechanical stroke of up to +/- 11 mm, enabling the speakers to reproduce deep frequencies more effectively and achieve higher sound pressure levels without distortion. The optional Hifonics ZXM3 midrange driver, which can be used with the Zeus ZXO-2, has a diameter of 7.5 cm and is equipped with an aluminum diaphragm. The construction of the aluminum die-cast basket supports a rigid and resonance-free environment, contributing to the fidelity of the midrange frequencies. A 25 mm voice coil made of copper wire ensures optimal energy transfer, making it excellent for everyday use. To expand the Hifonics Zeus ZXO-2 Crossover into a 3-way system, the connection of the optional midrange ZXM3 is required. For this, the jumper within the crossover must be switched to the 3-way configuration. Then, the midrange is connected via the bandpass crossover. An additional midrange enhances the midrange area, which can improve the overall brightness and presence of the system. This modified arrangement does not require rewiring of the other components but can be quickly adapted to the existing systems, thereby ideally complementing the sound spectrum and providing a fuller sound character.
