The Mundorf AMT21CM2.1-C Air Motion tweeter (AMT) 4 Ohm has very low distortion, very flat impedance curve, wide directivity, low x-over frequency, which makes it an absolute high-end AMT!
Mundorf now offers the world's largest selection of Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeters. The different lines have been developed for specific applications and requirements. All Mundorf HiFi AMT tweeters are characterized by two outstanding key properties: excellent transient response and outstanding low distortion. The differences lie primarily in the frequency ranges, sound pressure levels and dispersion angles.
The AMT19 and AMT21 series are designed for use in 3+ way systems, while the AMT23 and AMT25 models are also suitable for 2+ way applications. The AMT164U models (patented U-shaped pole plates) are recommended for use in professional, high-quality monitor systems as well as in ultimate hi-fi speaker systems. The narrow vertical dispersion angle, high sensitivity and low THD ensure unique and precise musicality.
The dipole AMT models are available in two lines. One line is optimized for freestanding installation. Its transient response is very similar to that of a woofer when mounted in an open baffle. The tweeters AMT17D, AMT23D, AMT25D and AMT27D are ideal for such concepts. The second line of dipole AMTs is optimized for perfect adaptation to open baffle concepts. These models include AMT23D6.1, AMT25D6.1 and AMT27D6.1. The dipole AMT17D has also proven to be an excellent super tweeter that can be easily combined with any loudspeaker. Super tweeter mounting stands are also available. Finally, the AMT29, with its high sensitivity of 100 dB, its exceptional linearity and its extended frequency range, represents the perfect synthesis of the Mundorf HiFi AMT and Mundorf Pro AMT models.
