The  JL Audio C1-525X is a 5" (13cm) coaxial speaker system that stands out from other models with its outstanding audio performance. With a 130mm woofer and midrange driver and a 19mm aluminum dome tweeter, this model delivers real substance and great sound quality. Special attention was paid to the heart of the C1-525X: a proprietary 130mm stamped steel frame and a DMA-optimized motor system ensure a smooth, dynamic and low-distortion sound. Compared to other speakers in its category, the C1 speakers feature superior clarity and definition in the high frequency range, thanks to a true, edge-controlled aluminum dome tweeter. In addition, the same high-quality materials are used that are usually only found in more expensive speakers.

• At the heart of the C1-525x is a proprietary 5.25-inch (130 mm) stamped steel frame and DMA optimized motor system. A mineral-filled injection molded polypropylene cone is suspended with a rubber surround at the front and a carefully engineered flat conex® -Spider on top of the voice coil to precisely control movement and prevent shocks between the voice coil and the back plate.

• Equipped with a true edge-controlled aluminum dome tweeter, the C1 speakers further differentiate themselves from other speakers in their category with their superior treble clarity and definition. The tweeter design inherently has excellent off-axis response and treble extension. It also benefits from the damping of a silk surround suspension and ferrofluid in the voice coil gap, as well as the superior strength of a neodymium magnetic circuit. A true 2nd order high-pass filter is employed to further increase smoothness and improve power handling.
