HILO-V3 by Focal Description
The HILO-V3 is a High-Low Adapter from Focal with impedance simulation. It converts amplified stereo signals into two low-level line outputs and uses a separate ground to reduce noise interference. The selectable DC and AC voltage detection allows compatibility with OEM head units. The adapter automatically generates a remote signal to activate an amplifier. Operation is also possible passively without 12 V, with the remote output non-functional in this mode. The HILO-V3 is stop & start compatible. The frequency response ranges from 10 Hz to 80 kHz (+/- 1 dB), the signal-to-noise ratio is over 100 dB, and distortion is below 0.01%. The DC detection threshold is 5.2 V at 14.4 V input voltage, and the AC detection threshold is 22 mV at 1 kHz.
