Frequently Asked Questions about MA 1

How does the Advanced Class-D Amplifier technology of the Eton MA 1 work?

The Advanced Class-D Amplifier technology of the Eton MA 1 enables high efficiency and performance. This technology converts electrical signals more efficiently, resulting in less heat generation and better efficiency. Therefore, this technology is ideal for use in compact amplifiers. The Eton MA 1 offers a power output of up to 1510 watts at 1 ohm, making it powerful enough to achieve high volumes without distortion. The use of Class-D technology means a compact design without compromising quality, as evidenced by the low THD+N value of 0.003% at 5W.

What are the power specifications of the MA 1 amplifier at different ohm values?

The Eton MA 1 provides different output power levels depending on the impedance: At 4 ohms, the amplifier delivers 690 watts, which is more than sufficient for many applications. With a load of 2 ohms, the power increases to 1120 watts, demonstrating its adaptability to various speaker configurations. When going to 1 ohm, the MA 1 reaches its maximum power of 1510 watts. This scalability is perfect for users who want to extract the full potential from their audio components, while the signal-to-noise ratio of 96.5 dB ensures clear and distortion-free music playback.

What filter options does the Eton MA 1 offer?

The Eton MA 1 is equipped with comprehensive filter options. The adjustable low-pass filter can be set between 25 and 250 Hz and features slopes of 12 or 24 dB/octave to allow adjustments based on desired sound characteristics. Additionally, a subsonic filter at 30 Hz is integrated, which removes inaudible frequencies to improve amplifier output efficiency. These filter options are ideal for optimally matching the audio output to your speakers while minimizing diaphragm movement by excluding unwanted frequencies.

How do the high-level inputs support the amplifier's adaptability?

The Eton MA 1 features two high-level inputs that allow for flexible adaptation to different audio systems. The adjustable input resistance of 10, 150 to 600 Ohms and the variable input signal voltage of 1 to 40 V provide a variety of connection options. This adaptability is particularly useful when integrating the amplifier into existing audio systems without the need for additional converters or adapters. Its suitability for various input signals makes the MA 1 a versatile addition to any car audio system.

What makes the aluminum die-cast housing of the Eton MA 1 special?

The aluminum die-cast housing of the Eton MA 1 in matte gunmetal grey is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. The robust construction effectively protects the internal components from external influences and cools the device efficiently, even at high power levels. The 180-degree rotatable aluminum top plate allows for easy adjustment of the design to your vehicle's interior. Together with the stackable construction, this housing is ideal for custom installations, as it can be placed in both visible and hidden areas while also supporting heat dissipation.

What mounting options does the Eton MA 1 offer?
