The VAG 350A - 13.4V-16.2V from AD Alternators is a VAG alternator that is characterized by its perfect fit for many vehicles in the VAG group. However, it is characterized by its self-sufficient operation with its regulator and is not compatible with DF / DFM regulations, which means that the regulation function is no longer available. How to replace the original internal regulator with an external regulator from AD Alternators
- 1. Remove all parts of the original controller and carefully disconnect all connections.
- 2. The original controller should only have the brush holder without any connection.
- 3. Desolder 2 wires from the brushes of the original regulator (black, yellow).
Su you connect the alternator
- 1. Connect the black wire from the brush to ground.
- 2. Connect the yellow wire from the second brush to the yellow wire of the controller.
How to connect the controller
- 1. Connect the black wire to ground.
- 2. Connect the red wire to +12V after the ignition (fuel pump, relay, etc.).
- 3. Connect the yellow wire to the yellow wire of the second brush.
