- Coaxial speaker system with 5 x 7 / 6 x 8-inch (125 x 180 mm) woofer and 0.75-inch (19 mm) aluminum dome tweeter
- The C1 speakers deliver real substance and great audio performance in a format designed to be easily fitted behind factory grilles.
- To facilitate installation, spacers/adapter rings are supplied so that the C1-570x can be installed in all applications.
- The speaker baskets are also equipped with slotted holes for mounting in 6 x 8-inch factory speaker positions.
- The C1 bass-midrange drivers benefit from JL Audio's proprietary FEA modeling and expertise in woofer development. This knowledge is used to develop speakers that can play loud while maintaining a smooth, dynamic and low distortion sound.
- At the heart of the C1-570x is a proprietary stamped oval 5 x 7 inch (125 x 180 mm) steel frame and a DMA-optimized motor system. A mineral-filled, injection-molded polypropylene cone is suspended with a rubber surround at the front and a carefully engineered flat Conex® spider at the top of the voice coil to precisely control movement and prevent shock between the voice coil and backplate.

- Equipped with a true edge-driven aluminum dome tweeter, the C1 speakers further set themselves apart from other speakers in their category with their superior clarity and definition in the high frequency range. The tweeter design inherently has excellent off-axis response and high frequency extension. It also benefits from the damping of a silk surround suspension and ferrofluid in the voice coil gap, as well as the superior strength of a neodymium magnetic circuit. A true 2nd order high-pass filter is used to further increase smoothness and improve power handling.
