Description

The SMD HLC-2 high-end high-low adapter cannot be compared with any other high-low adapter on the market. It is used to transmit the audio signal of a factory radio to your aftermarket amplifiers and it does this better than any other on the market. It is not a simple high-low adapter, but rather a signal processor that processes the incoming and outgoing signal in order to obtain an interference-free, noise-free and linear audio signal. This is the solution the Carhifi world has been waiting for.

CONNECT THE AMPLIFIER TO YOUR FACTORY RADIO

• The HLC-2 is typically used to bridge the gap between factory audio systems and aftermarket audio amplifiers. With its ability to accept a BTL audio signal of up to 40 V RMS, it is suitable for all situations.

SMALL ENOUGH AND EFFICIENT ENOUGH FOR ANY VEHICLE

• The HLC-2 is the cleanest, smallest and lightest active speaker level to RCA level converter. Installation is as simple as attaching it with a few cable ties through the built-in cable tie slots. It is so small and uses so little power that it can be used on motorcycles, side-by-side vehicles, golf carts, scooters and similar vehicles. It is only slightly larger than a deck of playing cards and consumes 1.02 watts (80 mA at 12.6 V).

LARGE ENTRANCE AND LARGE CLEAN EXIT

• The HLC-2 can record a BTL audio signal of up to 40 V RMS and output a single-ended output signal of up to 10 V RMS with a super low output impedance of 100 ohms and a THD+N value of less than 0.003 %.

CAN ALSO BE USED AS A LINE DRIVER OR PHASE INVERTER

• The HLC-2 can output a single-ended output signal of up to 10 V RMS with an extremely low output impedance of 100 ohms. This capability is so powerful that it can output 9 V RMS even when driving 10 amplifiers. Simply solder a couple of RCA connectors to the high level input wires and you have a great line driver.

Why would I need a phase inverter?

• If you have two identical half-bridge amplifiers (like our E-Series subwoofer amplifiers), you could route the signal from the first amplifier's pass-through RCA jacks into the HLC-2's high-level input (with RCA jacks soldered to the high-level inputs, with the polarity reversed) and then use the HLC-2's output for the second amplifier. In this way, you can connect the two amplifiers together or connect them in series.
