The ARC Audio Blackbird 8-channel DSP amplifier comes in an easy-to-install OEM chassis design and has the same dimensions as its predecessor, the PS8-50. Equipped with the latest developments, features and acoustically transparent benefits of ARC Audio's Pro Series DSP platform, the Blackbird fits easily under a seat or in a storage compartment in almost any vehicle. With a combined output of over 1,000 watts across 8 channels with bypassable speaker outputs, the Blackbird delivers between 75 and 250 watts per channel (depending on configuration). As with all ARC Audio amplifier models, these power ratings are continuous (real music power) and are conservatively rated to ensure you get more power than the stated values.
Other new features of the ARC Audio Blackbird include four dedicated, DSP-controlled RCA outputs, each capable of outputting up to 8V and providing a total of 12 channels of Pro-Series DSP control. These additional RCA outputs provide users and installers with the ability to add additional amplifiers with dedicated DSP control without taking away the adjustability of the Blackbird's eight primary amplifier outputs.
The Blackbird is optimal for the most discerning audiophiles building a complete aftermarket system, as it offers one of the most extensive and refined tuning feature sets, coupled with one of the largest built-in catalogs of hardware options designed for OEM integration systems in vehicles where removing the original radio is simply not an option. Adding to the list of features, the ARC Audio Blackbird is equipped with iDATA Maestro OEM integration technology. Maestro compatibility ensures direct plug-and-play OEM integration into thousands of vehicles, giving you the flexibility of a fully customizable audio system while retaining all the OEM features and controls you've grown accustomed to.
The all-new ARC Audio 12-channel Pro-Series DSP platform in the Blackbird is capable of processing audio streams at up to 192 kHz at 32 bits, setting a new benchmark for high-end audiophile and OEM audio systems. The new DSP features 444 bands of one-third octave or parametric equalization that can be adjusted in 1/10 dB increments up to +20dB/-24dB per band through single band/global/mix settings. The Pro Series DSP also features fully assignable first and second order all-pass filters, shelving filters, output signal delay of up to 30ms per channel, 0/180 degree output phase per channel, input and advanced output signal mixers, output trim controls and one of the widest selections of crossover attenuation types and mix slopes available on the 12V market.
