Next LCD by SPL Lab
The Next LCD from SPL Lab is an autonomous SPL measuring device that impresses with a variety of functions and features. Equipped with a graphic display and backlighting, it offers two Lab-Bus connections for connecting sensors. The device is designed to always be up to date with updatable software and allows for data transfer to a PC. A special feature is the optional support for Wi-Fi. The functionality also includes a signal generator and an internal battery, making the device the ideal partner for a wide range of measurement tasks.

Software Properties
- SPL mode for measuring sound pressure peak values with spectrum and waveform display. Simultaneous operation with two signal sources. Distortion (clip) detector.
- AVG mode for measuring the temporal average value of a sound pressure. Simultaneous operation with two signal sources.
- RTA mode for measuring AFC with spectrum and waveform display. Display with spectrum division in octaves. Distortion (clip) detector.
- PWR mode for measuring AC/DC, voltage, power, frequency of the signal, and nonlinear distortion (clip). Simultaneous operation with two signal sources.
- GEN mode. Background stereo generator for test signals: Sine, Pink Noise, and White Noise
- CON mode for connection to the PC and adjustment as well as transfer of the digitized data for analysis in Measuring Center for Windows
Ergonomics
The next LCD device is designed as a monoblock, featuring a graphic display with backlighting, 8 control buttons, a USB port for connecting to a PC and for charging the device, as well as two lab bus connections for connecting sensors, two RCA outputs from the audio signal generator, delivery switches, and a tri-color LED to indicate the status and battery charge level. The device can be supplied with an integrated Wi-Fi module for connection and management over the local network. The housing of the device is made of shock-resistant plastic.

- Measurement of the properties of acoustic systems for home, in cars, or in concert halls and their setup
- Measurement of the characteristics of home, automotive, or industrial power supply networks and their setup
- Preparation and execution of car sound competitions of all formats (AMT, EMMA, dB Drag, IASCA, BassRace, etc.) as well as over the internet (optional)
