Frequently Asked Questions about Stage2 OFC Flex 20mm²

What is special about the material of the Stage2 OFC Flex 20mm²?

The Stage2 OFC Flex 20mm² from Four Connect is made of 100% oxygen-free copper, also known as OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper). This choice of material contributes to excellent electrical conductivity and minimizes resistance, which is crucial for the high performance of the cable. If you value precise and lossless current flow, OFC is the preferred choice. The cross-section of 20mm² is ideal for amplifier outputs around 1200 watts, and the silicone rubber insulation ensures that even in extreme temperatures or cold climates, the flexibility and stability of the cable are not compromised.

What transmission quality does the 5.5m RCA cable in the Stage2 kit offer?

The 5.5m long RCA cable included in the Four Connect Stage2 OFC Flex 20mm² is triple-shielded, ensuring outstanding signal transmission quality. This shielding minimizes electromagnetic interference and is particularly important in applications where signal purity is critical, such as when using high-quality audio components. In the RCA cable test by AutoSound magazine, this cable performed very well, confirming its reliability and excellent contact and shielding. Thus, high-quality audio signal transmission is guaranteed even over longer distances without loss of quality.

How does the silicone-based rubber support cable insulation in the Stage2 OFC Flex?

The silicone-based rubber used for the insulation of the Stage2 OFC Flex 20mm² from Four Connect offers a variety of advantages. It remains flexible even at low temperatures and reliably protects the cable from mechanical influences. Additionally, it is resistant to cracking, a common problem with inferior materials. Especially in vehicle installations that are subject to temperature fluctuations, the quality of this insulation becomes evident. Even after years of use, the protective sheath remains intact, providing consistent performance and an increased safety factor in daily use, particularly in high-energy setups.

What role do the rhodium-plated connectors play in the Stage2 OFC Flex?

The use of rhodium-plated connectors in the Stage2 OFC Flex 20mm² from Four Connect significantly contributes to the reliability and consistency of power transmission. Rhodium is a precious metal known for its excellent corrosion-resistant properties. This means that even in humid or corrosive environments, the contact remains stable and provides a consistently low resistance. Together with the ring terminals, these connectors ensure easy installation and a durable electrical connection, which is often required in demanding and variable operating conditions, such as in powerful audio installations.

What does the waterproof Mini-ANL Fuse Holder of the Stage2 Kit offer?

The Mini-ANL Fuse Holder of the Four Connect Stage2 OFC Flex 20mm² is waterproof, making it ideal for environments exposed to moisture. In vehicle installations, where weather influences are common, this holder ensures that the connection is protected in the long term and that the power supply remains stable at all times. It accommodates the 80A fuse and allows for easy maintenance and replacement if needed. This feature is essential to sustainably ensure the safety and functionality of electrical systems and reliably prevents short circuits and potential damage.

How long is the power and ground cable of the Stage2 OFC Flex?

The Four Connect Stage2 OFC Flex 20mm² cable kit includes two cables: a power cable with a length of 5.2 meters and a ground cable with a length of 0.8 meters. Both cables are made of OFC (oxygen-free copper) and ensure a reliable power supply for amplifiers with about 1200 watts of power. The lengths are optimal for most vehicles, allowing for flexible and easy routing in the engine compartment or trunk. Especially for custom installations, the lengths of the cables provide plenty of room for creative yet safe routing options.

What components are part of the Stage2 OFC Flex 20mm² kit?

The Four Connect Stage2 OFC Flex 20mm² kit includes comprehensive components for optimal power supply of an audio system. This includes a 5.2m long 20mm² power cable, a 0.8m long 20mm² ground cable, as well as a high-quality 5.5m triple-shielded RCA cable for signal transmission. With the 6m conduit, you get additional protection for cable routing in the vehicle. Additionally, an 80A Mini-ANL fuse and a waterproof Mini-ANL Fuse Holder are included. To facilitate the connection, 2 ring terminals and 2 fork terminals are provided, ensuring a secure connection.

What did the RCA cable test in AutoSound magazine reveal about the Stage2 Kit?

In the RCA cable test of AutoSound magazine, the RCA cable in the Stage2 Kit from Four Connect received a very good rating. This award highlights the high performance of the 5.5m triple-shielded RCA cable, especially regarding signal stability and contact quality. The test confirmed that the cable transmits a reliable signal even over longer distances without quality loss. This is particularly important for demanding audio configurations where pure and unaltered sound is crucial. The result reflects the quality with which Four Connect has invested in the production of these cables.

How does the 20mm² cross-section affect the performance of the Stage2 OFC Flex?

The 20mm² cross-section of the Stage2 OFC Flex cable from Four Connect is crucial for the efficiently low resistance values that are essential for transporting electrical current. Compatible for operating amplifiers up to about 1200 watts, this cross-section ensures that both energy transfer is maximized and overall current consumption is optimized. The thicker cable can carry more current without increasing power loss, contributing to a more effective and safer power supply source. This is especially important for larger audio systems in vehicles where high power is needed.

How do ring terminals and fork terminals support the installation of the Stage2 Kit?

The ring terminals and fork terminals included in the Four Connect Stage2 OFC Flex 20mm² are essential components that enable a user-friendly and secure installation of the system. The ring terminals provide a large contact area for reliable attachment to the battery or ground points. They are capable of safely handling and transmitting high current, which is particularly advantageous in high-current applications. Fork terminals facilitate direct connection with screw and clamp terminals, commonly used in amplifiers and distribution units, and help minimize contact resistance.
