The ARC Audio Blackbird 8-Channel DSP Amplifier comes in an installation-friendly OEM housing design and has the same dimensions as its predecessor, the PS8-50. Equipped with the latest developments, features, and acoustically transparent benefits of ARC Audio's Pro Series DSP platform, the Blackbird fits easily under a seat or in a storage compartment in almost any vehicle. With a combined power of over 1,000 watts across 8 channels with bridgeable speaker outputs, the Blackbird delivers between 75 and 250 watts per channel (depending on configuration). As with all ARC Audio amplifier models, these power ratings are continuous power (true music power), conservatively rated to ensure you receive more power than the specified values.

Other innovations of the ARC Audio Blackbird include four dedicated, DSP-controlled RCA outputs, each capable of outputting up to 8 V, allowing for a total of 12 channels of Pro-Series DSP control. These additional RCA outputs provide users and installers the ability to add extra amplifiers with dedicated DSP control without taking away the tuning options from the eight primary amplifier outputs of the Blackbird.

The Blackbird is ideal for the most demanding audiophiles building a complete aftermarket system, as it offers one of the most extensive and finest tuning features, combined with one of the largest built-in catalogs of hardware options designed for OEM integration systems in vehicles where removing the original radio is simply not an option. In addition to the list of features, the ARC Audio Blackbird is equipped with iDATA Maestro OEM integration technology. Maestro compatibility ensures direct plug-and-play OEM integration into thousands of vehicles and gives you the flexibility of a fully customizable audio system while retaining all OEM functions and controls you are accustomed to.

The brand new ARC Audio 12-Channel Pro-Series DSP platform in the Blackbird is capable of processing audio streams at up to 192 kHz at 32 bits, setting new standards for audiophile high-end and OEM audio systems. The new DSP features 444 bands with third-octave or parametric equalization, which can be adjusted in 1/10 dB steps up to +20dB/-24dB per band through individual/global/mix settings. The Pro Series DSP also includes fully assignable first and second-order all-pass filters, shelving filters, an output signal delay of up to 30 ms per channel, an output phase of 0/180 degrees per channel, input and extended output signal mixers, output trim controls, and one of the most extensive selections of crossover damping types and slopes available in the 12V market.
