With Class H, even the power supply voltage is modulated by the input signal, so the rail voltage is practically infinitely variable above a certain value, which further improves efficiency.
This power supply technology is significantly more complex than conventional Class A/B power amplifiers with a single, fixed rail voltage, so it is no wonder that only a few manufacturers dare to tackle the topic of Class G/H at all.
The output stage of Class G & H is constructed identically to the familiar Class A/B amplifier circuit. This is the big difference to the Class D variants used in other compact power amplifiers, which always require sound-reducing and distortion-enhancing output filters.
Class G/H therefore combines low power consumption with outstanding sonic capabilities.
