The Illuminator 18WU/8747T00 is a technologically sophisticated highlight from Scanspeak. It is a 6.5" (16.5cm) bass-midrange driver with a number of outstanding features. Enriched with an open design and a very large linear excursion, the bass-midrange driver underlines its special status in the Illuminator series. Supported by a patented SD-3 underhung voice coil system and a neodymium drive unit, it proves to be extremely high-quality and low-loss. The patented aluminum diaphragm/cone and the symmetrical drive unit ensure extremely low distortion.
