Description
The structure of the MW-SM5.0 is simple, yet extremely effective in terms of insulation and damping. Basically, a 2 mm thick, self-adhesive aluminum butyl is used here, which prevents metal or plastic parts from resonating. A thin aluminum foil provides the necessary stability. In addition, there is a 3 mm thick foam layer over the aluminum layer, which dampens unwanted sound waves. This effectively dampens the return sound rather than reflecting it, i.e. the sound waves that would otherwise occur do not "hinder" the speaker in its work.
