Description

The FIX-82 from JL Audio is a 2-channel DSP that has established itself as the best-selling sound processor on the market. Its patented integration is unique, allowing it to deliver first-class sound from factory audio systems without replacing the OEM source unit. Characterized by its automatic delay correction and digital EQ, it is very user-friendly. Not only the automatic correction of time-delayed factory outputs sets it apart from other models, but also its calibration, which is performed with a single button press and in only about 30 seconds. Using a powerful 24-bit DSP processor and two 1/3-octave equalizers, it combines complex audio signals into a flat full-range stereo signal. The FIX-82 also offers a variety of output options, including two RCA outputs or a digital JLId output that supports 24-bit/48 kHz PCM audio.

• The FiX™ 82 is the first DSP to automatically correct time-delayed factory outputs before signal summing and EQ correction.
  
• With a powerful 24-bit DSP processor and two 1/3-octave equalizers on board, complex 2-way, 3-way and 4-way factory audio outputs are automatically combined and level-matched to a flat full-range stereo signal. Differential balanced inputs accept virtually any OEM analog audio signal, from low voltage line level to high power amplified speaker outputs (up to 30 V RMS).
  
• Calibration is initiated with a single keystroke and takes only about 30 seconds, without the need for special equipment!
  
• By connecting a PC with the TüN™ software via USB, you can also access a complete set of diagnostic panels that display the frequency response of the input signals as well as the corrected outputs. Adjustments can be made to input polarity, muting and filtering, and new calibrations can also be initiated from the PC. By clicking on the "TUNE" tab of the TüN™ interface, you can also access a pair of user-adjustable 10-band graphic equalizers to fine-tune the output signals.
  
• Output options include two RCA jacks (4V RMS) or a digital (JLId) output that supports PCM audio with 24-bit/48 kHz resolution.
  
• Activation methods include 12 volt or automatic (signal/DC offset detection) and a dedicated remote switch-on output to activate your aftermarket devices.
  
• Optional DRC-100 digital remote control (sold separately) to activate the master volume control from the driver's seat.
• Limited input signals and the overall status are also reported via the DRC-100's multi-colored status LED.
