En classe H, même la tension du bloc d'alimentation est modulée par le signal d'entrée, le railvoltage est donc pratiquement variable en continu à partir d'une certaine valeur, ce qui améliore encore le rendement.
Cette technologie de bloc d'alimentation est nettement plus complexe que celle des amplificateurs de puissance de classe A/B traditionnels avec une seule tension de rail fixe et il n'est donc pas étonnant que seuls quelques fabricants osent s'attaquer au thème de la classe G/H.
L'étage de sortie de la classe G & H est construit de manière identique au circuit d'amplification de classe A/B connu. C'est la grande différence avec les variantes de classe D utilisées dans d'autres amplificateurs compacts, qui nécessitent toujours des filtres de sortie réduisant la sonorité et favorisant la distorsion.
La classe G/H combine donc une faible consommation de courant avec des capacités sonores exceptionnelles.
