Frequently Asked Questions about LFB Citroen/Fiat/Peugeot ISO/Mini ISO

How do I correctly install the Steering Wheel Remote Control Citroen/Fiat/Peugeot ISO/Mini ISO Adapter?

The installation of the Steering Wheel Remote Control Citroen/Fiat/Peugeot ISO/Mini ISO Adapter from ACV is done in several steps. First, the OEM device should be disassembled without power. Then, check the interface connections for correctness and continuity. Connect the radio connection cables according to the manual of your aftermarket device, followed by connecting all other cables. Finally, the overall installation in the vehicle is done with a powered connection. Make sure to test all operating functions before final assembly to ensure that all vehicle and Steering Wheel Remote Control functions work properly.

What should I pay attention to when using the adapter in Citroen, Fiat, and Peugeot?

When using the Steering Wheel Remote Control Citroen/Fiat/Peugeot ISO/Mini ISO Adapter in Citroen Jumper, Fiat Ducato, and Peugeot Boxer vehicles, the Blue&Me Silverbox module should not be removed to ensure compatibility. It is important to check the optical and technical compatibility of the plugs beforehand. Vehicles without Delphi 2-DIN OEM devices use different models of the adapter. The vehicle interfaces must be matched to specific software configurations to ensure integrity, and signals such as lighting, reverse signal, and speed signal should also be correct according to vehicle specifications.

Can the Steering Wheel Remote Control Citroen/Fiat/Peugeot Adapter be used with other car brands?

The Steering Wheel Remote Control Citroen/Fiat/Peugeot ISO/Mini ISO Adapter is specifically optimized for the Citroen Jumper, Fiat Ducato, and Peugeot Boxer models. Vehicles of other brands or models not explicitly mentioned in the product description may be incompatible with this adapter. Especially in vehicles with differing software, there may be functional limitations. It is recommended to consult a professional to clarify which specific compatibilities are available for your vehicle, especially for vehicles from other manufacturers.

What functionalities does the Steering Wheel Remote Control Adapter offer for Citroen/Fiat/Peugeot vehicles?

The LFB Citroen/Fiat/Peugeot ISO/Mini ISO Adapter allows you to retain the original Steering Wheel Remote Control functions when installing an aftermarket radio. The device also supports signals such as +12V ignition, lighting, reverse signal, and speed signal, as well as ground GND and handbrake signal. The total outputs can handle up to 100 mA. Proper functioning depends on the vehicle's equipment and the software of the aftermarket device. A functionality test before final assembly is necessary to check compatibility and functionality.

What points should be considered during configuration?

When configuring the ACV Adapter for Citroen/Fiat/Peugeot, the hardware configuration should be performed without voltage. Additionally, the correct software configuration of the interface according to the instructions in the user manual is necessary. The settings of the aftermarket radio must also be adjusted. Furthermore, it is important to first check the OEM configuration when making changes and to consider any warranty provisions that may be affected by the changes. All connections should be made according to the specifications of the aftermarket device and tested before final installation.

How do I check compatibility with OEM devices?

To ensure the compatibility of the adapter for Citroen/Fiat/Peugeot with OEM devices, the depicted plugs of the adapter must be checked against those in the vehicle. It is advisable to determine whether any of the specified original radios were installed in the vehicle. Vehicles with a 2-DIN OEM device, such as Delphi devices, require alternative connection interfaces. If a special control, such as the Blue&Me system, is present, it should be included. The wiring and configuration of the vehicle's wiring in re-imported vehicles or vehicles with different software should be examined closely.

What signals are supported by the LFB adapter?

The LFB Citroen/Fiat/Peugeot ISO/Mini ISO Adapter processes various signals, including +12V for ignition (terminal 15) and lighting (terminal 58), as well as the reverse signal and speed signal. Additionally, it provides the ground GND handbrake signal. The total output capacity is a maximum of 100 mA. For devices that require a higher current, at least a 75 Ohm relay is necessary, and for two relays, at least 150 Ohm. These signals are needed to ensure the full functionality of the Steering Wheel Remote Control.

Why must the Blue&Me Silverbox module remain in the vehicle?

The Blue&Me Silverbox module must remain in the vehicle as it is a crucial element for ensuring compatibility with the ACV LFB Citroen/Fiat/Peugeot adapter. This system supports the proper transmission and control of vehicle functions via CAN bus and analog signals. Removing the module may cause some functions of the Steering Wheel Remote Control or other vehicle controls to no longer function properly. A thorough check of the existing equipment before installation is therefore essential.

What steps are necessary if the interface shows a malfunction?

If the LFB Citroen/Fiat/Peugeot adapter shows a malfunction, the first step should be to revert to the OEM device. This includes operating the OEM device to establish the CAN bus idle state. After that, a check of the hardware configuration of the interface is necessary. Once the CAN bus idle state is achieved, the connection can proceed as outlined in steps 5 to 8 of the manual. All changes and connections should be made without voltage and carefully according to the instructions to resolve any potential issues with the vehicle or interface configuration.

How do I check the correct function of the Steering Wheel Remote Control?

To check the correct function of the Steering Wheel Remote Control with the LFB Citroen/Fiat/Peugeot ISO/Mini ISO adapter, a complete functionality test should be conducted. This includes checking all control functions, including vehicle settings, after installation in a powered state. If changes have been made to the hardware configuration, these should also be re-evaluated. If problems occur, reverting to the OEM configuration is necessary to ensure functionality. A test drive can also help ensure reliable performance.
