Emphaser ECP-M5

The ECP-M5 speaker set from Emphaser offers an impressive combination of a 5" (13cm) bass-midrange driver and a 25 mm tweeter. Equipped with an aluminum cone, the bass-midrange driver ensures detailed and low-distortion reproduction, while the tweeter with a fabric dome reproduces even the smallest musical details. The crossovers are designed for precise stage imaging and easy installation. Additional features such as the strontium ferrite magnet and the durable butyl rubber surround emphasize the quality of this speaker set. With a rated power handling of 100 W RMS and a sensitivity of 87 dB, the ECP-M5 is suitable for various installation situations. The scope of delivery includes tweeters, bass-midrange drivers, crossovers and speaker grilles.

Due to its hardness and high natural resonance frequency, our aluminum cone of the woofer is ideally suited for a detailed and extremely low-distortion reproduction. The thickness of the cone is chosen to provide the stability for heavy bass attacks and the necessary lightness for precise mid-range reproduction. The durable surround ensures that the ECP-M5 loses none of its precise reproduction even at high levels and therefore high cone excursions. The Compos owe their clean, crisp bass foundation and level capabilities to the powerful strontium ferrite magnets of the mid/woofer. Details such as the die-cast aluminium basket with optimized temperature management, the butyl rubber surround, a copper cap on the pole piece, a 2-layer copper wire voice coil on a temperature-resistant aluminium voice coil former or the durable Connex spider with woven-in voice coil lead underline the quality of these speakers.

The 25 mm tweeter with fabric dome convinces with its warm sound image and can reproduce even the smallest musical details. The cone geometry offers a uniform directional characteristic for excellent sound in a wide variety of installation situations. In addition to the low weight of the cone, surround and voice coil, the conscious decision not to use ferrofluid is the main reason why the tweeter plays so vividly, spatially and without coloration.

The components of the crossovers have been defined in intensive test series in the laboratory and in the vehicle in order to achieve the best possible phasing of the components. The result is authentic-looking voices and instruments with precise stage imaging and impressive spatial depth. The crossovers are divided into separate enclosures for the tweeter and woofer branches. This allows easy installation in the original installation location without having to lay new cables across the vehicle.
