The Ultimax II UMII18-22 from Dayton Audio is a powerful 18" (46cm) subwoofer that delivers impressive bass performance. With a power handling capacity of 1,000 watts RMS and a peak power of 2,000 watts, it brings powerful bass to home theater and car audio applications. Its 18-inch cone is made of a Nomex honeycomb composite material, reinforced with glass fiber fabric, which provides additional rigidity. Flexibility in connection options is provided by the two 2-ohm voice coils, which can be used for either stereo 2-ohm or mono 1-ohm configurations. The UMII18-22 features a large rubber surround and dual 8-inch mirror spiders that provide over 2 inches of linear excursion and minimize distortion. This subwoofer is optimized for a variety of enclosures, both sealed and vented, to deliver deep and powerful bass.
