Following the release of the Pluvia speaker range, which was very well received, Mark moved on to the next design evolution. As some of you will know, Mark's design ethos is mechanical efficiency, adding lightness and simplifying wherever possible. With these new drivers, Mark has managed to do more with much less.

The 7MS cone is an ultra-flat design that enables a wide dispersion pattern. The outer part of the cone profile is angled backwards, creating a +180 degree dispersion pattern to optimize stereo imaging. Voices from high-quality sources sound more natural and detailed as the center cap and cone profile are geometrically closely matched.

Much technical research has been done to balance the drive train of the driver (diaphragm, cap, coil and suspension) between its axis of movement and the corresponding center of gravity. The new negative camber cone allows the coil to be repositioned to avoid the need for a traditional suspension (spider). Mark's new mono suspension design frees the coil from a restrictive spider glued to it, improving the transfer of energy from the driver's motor to the cone. The new suspension uses an all-new custom blend of four synthetic materials, resulting in improved linearity at low frequency loads.

The different pitches and rounded angles help to improve sound wave radiation. Specially extended terminals are provided for plug connections or easy soldering for cables up to 1.5 mm in diameter.

The 7MS is an audio driver designed for the dedicated music lover and high-fidelity enthusiast. Attention to design detail and a tight manufacturing standard with a tolerance of +/- 0.05mm on most component alignments set this new generation of Markaudio transducers apart from the crowd.
