There is no substitute for experience; that's a simple fact. Another simple fact is that ZAPCO has been a leader in defining quality standards for the car audio industry for more than forty years. These years of experience have led us to understand the unique challenges of the car audio industry. ZAPCO's relentless pursuit of sonic purity consistently results in imaginative designs that utilize the most innovative technologies. The resulting products set the criteria by which all others in the industry are measured.
The revolutionary Zapco HDSP
The next generation of processing. The production of Zapco began in 1978 with the famous PEQ, a 9-band preamp EQ with two-channel control. With balanced inputs, high-voltage outputs and military-grade internal components, the PEQ was the first true sound quality EQ for the car. The PEQ was followed a few years later by the Zapco PX. The PX was the first parametric EQ for the car. In the 90s, the Zapco SX series with parametric equalizer, high-voltage outputs, fader and bass-treble balance control onto the market. The SX became the new top dog among equalizers on the racetrack. In 2004 Zapco the pioneer on the road to digital technology. When others were only talking about digital Zapco the first computer-controlled digital processing network for the car. The DC line consisted of a 6-channel, fully functional DSP processor and a series of car audio amplifiers with integrated fully functional DSP. With the DPN network from Zapco you could use a single computer screen from Amplifier to Amplifier switch to make adjustments. Improved in 2012 Zapco the DSP to the DSP-Z8 with more processing functions and 8 output channels. 2015 offered Zapco the DSP-Z8III and Z6III in more compact housings for those who want to save space and Amplifier do not have to be networked.
In January 2017 Zapco introduces the DSP-Z8 IV and a whole new level of sonic performance. The DSP-Z8 IV is an affordable DSP with sound performance superior to many devices twice the price and a redesigned user interface that makes setting up a sound system a breeze.
Next up Zapco introduces the ultimate digital processors for the car: the HDSP V-Series. The HDSP offers tuning functions that have never before been offered in a car DSP. HD stands for the built-in HD player for high-resolution audio files. The HD processors can be controlled via a direct USB connection with a PC, a touchscreen display or via the wireless portal with a "smart" device. We have programmed the DSP chips to accommodate any number of different top components to allow audiophiles to easily customize the devices to their personal taste.
